Da’Vine Joy Randolph is an award-winning actress and singer trained at the Yale School of Drama.  Her breakout role in The Holdovers earned her an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress.


She can also currently be seen in Paramount's The Lost City and On The Come Up. Da’Vine is best known for her performance in Dolemite Is My Name, a role that earned her an NAACP Image Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture, as well as two Black Reel Awards and one AAFCA Award.


In television, Da’Vine can be seen in Only Murders In The Building on Hulu, where she portrayed “Detective Williams,” Selfie, and People of Earth. Applegate has been a longtime supporter of women’s cancer causes. In 2003 and 2009 she served as the ambassador for Lee National Denim Day, one the largest single-day fundraisers for breast cancer in the country. Christina founded Right Action for Women, which advocates for breast cancer education.
